Another international retailer is moving into Perth, with US homewares heavyweight Pottery Barn eyeing space on St Georges Terrace.
The City of Perth has approved development plans for a $2.7million retail fit-out at St Martins Tower to house Pottery Barn and sister brands Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm.
Pottery Barn is a household name in the US and has stores in Sydney and Melbourne. It joins a growing number of international retailers to open in Perth in recent years, including clothing retailers Topshop and Zara and high-end labels MiuMiu and Chane!.
Williams-Sonoma, which owns Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and furniture retailer West Elm, has long been rumoured to be looking at sites in Perth.
Australia is reported to be the group's biggest market outside the US.
Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said yesterday Pottery Barn's move into WA was "very exciting''.
"It shows retailers are recognising Perth's changed," she said.
