Tenants are being sought for two floors of office space in a compact new project, the Treasury Annex Building, which is being constructed in the Cathedral + Treasury Precinct.
Located between the Perth Town Hall and the former Treasury Buildings which are being restored and converted to a hotel, 585 Hay Street will be a fivestorey; A-grade building.
Mirvac and Keppel REIT, who are also the developers and future holders of a 99-year lease for the Treasury Precinct's new office tower, have appointed CBRE to lease the office space at levels one and two in the building.
The Cathedral + Treasury Precinct is one of the landmark transformations under way in Perth.
The restoration and conversion of the 135-year old Treasury Building into a hotel, the 33-storey office tower under construction, a new library; a refurbished Public Trustee Building and a new public plaza behind St George's Cathedral is all part of the master plan.
CBRE office service director Lachlan Lewis said the office space was expected to be very attractive to legal firm tenants.
"This new generation building is nestled between immaculately restored heritage landmarks and will have direct linkage to the new 33 level-office tower, currently under construction by Mirvac," said Mr Lewis.
"The office tower is pre-leased to the State Government and will accommodate functions of the civil courts of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, judicial chambers and head office accommodation for the Department of Attorney General and the Department ofTreasury."
Lease Equity is negotiating a new cafe tenancy on the ground floor of the Cathedral + Treasury building.
